I'm a little bit confused. Just sell the odd items when I have time to do it. I sold an item a few weeks ago with no problems, payment via paypal went through fine. Sold an item today and according to my page on eBay
on the left hand side of the page, the buyer had paid. However it also says somewhere else that I am awaiting payment. The icons on the item listing says that the checkout is complete but the payment is going through. Can't find anything on paypal. Hope it makes sense.

Confused! Have I been paid or not? I thought payment was instant when using paypal.

Any help/ advice would be gratefully received.

They may have paid by echeque which will take (i think) 5-7 days to clear into your account. If it is then don't send the item until payment has cleared.

Have you the correct email address on your listing? If you have not received a confirmation email that you have been paid but the item shows as being paid for, ie payment is pending, you had the wrong email address on your listing.

To check it go to your sold items, adjacent to the sold item click the action box, and press relist, scroll down to the email address for payment it will be incorrect.

If you can add this email address to PayPal do so and your payment will come through immediately, however if you cannot add it to PayPal you will have to ask the buyer to cancel payment, and send them a money request from within PayPal so they can pay again.

Hi thanks for your responses- I have the correct email on the listing and paypal and the buyer didn't use an echeque.
According to eBay site the payment us pending and will be deposited in my account when I have a positive feedback from buyer or 21 days have passed.
Never happened to me before- sometimes I think eBay is more hassle than it's worth!

Was it an expensive item? I believe this is something new so that funds can't be spent in case of buyer opening a case. Usually for more expensive items.

Aaah sorry. If you send signed for once you can prove delivery to your buyer you can ring PayPal and they will release the hold on the pending funds.
