Buyers from Slovakia?

I have an item listed & have had 2 questions asked about posting to Slovakia from 2 separate accounts.

I was just wondering really, if there was any scams that I didn't know about before I allow them to bid. They both have good feedback & appear to be genuine bidders.

Don't know, but I always exclude buyers from outside the UK from the outset (you can select this option when you put your auction on) simply because postage etc makes it much more complicated, before anything goes wrong with non-delivery etc. If you were going to go ahead make sure you have the correct carriage.

I sell worldwide and I've had a few buyers from Slovakia. I have never had a problem with any of them.
There are dodgy buyers in every country but personally I have had more problems with items sent to France and Italy than I have with anywhere else and I have posted to some very obscure places over the years.
Its a very personal thing whether you accept foreign buyers or not.
Are you suspicious because you have two potential buyers from the same country ?
If so I do find that I often get buyers from one area or one country in bulk and I've often wondered if listings sometimes show higher up the page depending on where buyers are browsing from and how many sellers are willing to ship there.

I've been wondering the same as I've got something listed and I've had 3 enquiries from Bulgaria and Poland.

I've said that I only post to UK as I don't know what would happen if they didn't arrive

Caught, I expect most things would get there ok, but if if went wrong it would be a headache. On balance, I decided it wasn't worth it. You on the other hand may posess more patience than I!

I had a lot of queries from E Europe when I was selling things for UK postage on ebay. I offered them a tracked service and said I would not be responsible for any loss outside of the tracking area/jurisdiction, or that they could pay for full trackable postage which was more expensive. Paypal payment only.

I heard from the buyers that good quality children's clothing is very hard to come by in that part of the world. I was selling Sesame St stuff and it was going like hot cakes! I had no problems. But it only takes one....

sloggies - I really don't want the hassle either
monkey - it was branded childrens wear for me as well

i've never had a problem with Slovakia but Czech Republic on the other hand...i've stopped sending there, buyers admit their postal service is rubbish there. last item has gone missing and paypal have stolen my money to pay back the buyer even though she admits problem's at her end!
i would still send to rest of E Europe though
