dp sold something on ebay for 99p

its a very fragile something that will need very careful and bulky packaging

the buyer is in america, and wants it posting to an address different to the paypal registered address

dp is saying he will only post to the paypal address but as yet no response

can he cancel the transaction? will the buyer be able to leave him negative feedback if dp refuses to send it to a different address?

Hmm. Sounds a lot of hassle for 99p plus the item will probably get smashed enroute if I know Royal Mail Wink

Can you not email the guy and say, oh we accidentally smashed the item as we were packing it and just refund in full.

If you are sending signed for then you should only send to the PayPal address, if you are not sending signed for it does not matter.

You won't be protected if it arrives damaged if you do not send with the adequate insurance.

If you refuse to sell you can get a neg, however they would have to pay first for it to stick.

Mail the buyer and advise you will only send to the address on the PayPal transaction page and that if they wanted shipped elsewhere you will refund, and they should pay again changing the delivery address within their My eBay first.
