Since i didnt get the answer i want last time i'm reposting!!
I parked on single yellow line and went in post office with ebay parcels, returned to find parking ticket on my car. Can i claim i was unloading? or will i just get laughed at?

IMO it is unloading. Did you read the traffic plate (sign) that referred to the conditions of the lines? Do you have any receipt or anything that can prove you were taking parcels to the post office at that time? Where I live, you would be considered unloading. Maybe this does not apply everywhere.

Worth a try - not going to be immediately laughed out of the police station, thought they will probably try to fob you off(think of the paperwork for them.

Good luck.

Yes, but you are restricted to 5 minutes for a non sign written vehicle, 10 minutes if it is.

You parked illegally. Take the points and the fine.

Unloading is for RM delivery vans or someone unloading goods to the place. It is not you just dropping off your parcels you are a customer, not a supplier.

Damn fabbychic! The fine outweighs any money i might have got back from selling my baby stuff, oh well, wont make that mistake again in a hurry!

Erm - hello! Can anyone see me? Sad

I drop off books to people and have avoided penalty tickets by using the time scales I posted ^^. If you are a business then it is not unreasonable to park outside where you are dropping stuff off, especially if it is in volume or heavy. Smile

I'm not a business, i can see u!! But i guess its worth a try!
