How long do I wait for payment?

I've had a problem with timewasters before, but how long is long enough to wait for payment for an item?

I sent a payment request straight away, and then another three days later. You have to wait the seven days before you can open a non-payment dispute. How long has it been?

It's been two days. I know we're not into the realms of the ridiculous yet but I wanted to know what the normal proceedure was just in case this one doesn't pay.

YOu cannot open a non payment dispute until day four so theoretically you wait until then, not everybody pays immediately, sometimes people have no internet access over the weekend.

Body, you do not have to wait seven days it has changed to four.
