WWYD- not hearing from seller on urgent buy

I bought an item last week for a secret santa gift (handing over tomorrow). I knew I was cutting it a little bit fine, but it only cost £0.99 plus p&p so i didnt mind. anyway i paid within 5 mins of auction ending and sent an email explaining the urgency and just asking whether they thought it would be possible. i wouldnt mind if they have posted and it is slow at getting here, or even if they hadnt posted it. but i ahve heard NOTHING. not a dicky bird. I think they should have posted it by now to be honest but it is very possible it is held up. I want to leave negative feedback because as far as i am concerned they have taken my money and done a runner. I wanted a reply to my message. Would you leave negative feedback in this situation?

Not yet, for all you know they have fallen over themselves trying to get it out as fast as possible for you but not been good on communication. At this time of year you have to allow for the post sadly.

Wait until it arrives and look at the postmark, hopefully you will be able to give them a +ve but mention poor comms rather than a -ve which is in no-ones interest. For now just message again and ask if/when it was posted.

ok thanks. i did buy it knowing the risk of not getting it and dont mind TOO much about not getting it. i just wanted the communication. It seems neg is a v v v v v bad thing then that maybe i didnt realise. i will def email again. (though that is hard to do - is there an easier the way than effectively posting a question on teh item in the auction?)

Some sellers only actually go on line when they have items for sale, not everybody has access to the internet all the time.

nowwearefour · 14/12/2010 20:06

i think that is poor service classydiva- it an internet 'thing' and surely part of the service is being able to answer questions. not impressed with still no response to my q to be honest....
