some advice please

I put my ereader onto ebay, it sold, girl emailed me, and ebay emailed me, so I waited for payment she emailed me and said she would do it on mon morning (today) so today I get email from paypal although weird thing was it didnt have the green arrow beside it anyway, saying the payment had been made and as soon asitem shipped, I then get another email from so called pay pal saying that item should be shipped in 24 hrs for me to recieve payment, but the last sentence was weird as it was really bad english 'we hope to serving you better'

anyway I went and bought my postage label through paypal got tracking number etc, and paypal emailed me and this email shows up in my inbox with green arrow beside it.

whats going on before I go and actually post this e reader, I have emailed the buyer so am waiting to hear from them

oh and royal mail label showed up on my paypal acc straight away

can I call ebay, why didnt ebay email me to tell me the item had been paid for

sounds wrong to me, something wrong with the pay pal message worded badly. Phone pay .pal and ask them what is going on

she just emailed me and told me she is in bermuda and she is sending it to her son in nigeria but that she made the payment

am getting confused now and worried and pissed off further

Have you checked your paypal account to see if the funds are in?

Don't do it via any of those dodgy emails that you may receive as they are spam, go to Paypal and log in through your own browser.

If any payments have been made they should show up. Certainly don't post anything until you're sure you have been paid.

Don't get involved with unusual transactions to Nigeria - excellent place for fraud.

Hmm, sounds weird. Can you sign in to your paypal account separately from ebay and see if the funds are actually there?

Is the item showing as paid on ebay?

Do not send anything until you can be sure you have the payment then send it with tracking so that if anything goes wrong you can at least prove you sent it?

I had a Nigerian buyer asking if he could pay me £500 for a £4.00 item and then could I include a cheque for the rest with the item!!

I got an e-mail from paypal today saying that my recent paypal transaction was declined as I didn't have a valid bank card, and can i click on the link and add my bank details ( i didn't do it!)...strange thing is I havent tried to make a transaction and when i go into my paypal account, all earlier transactions are complete confused

had a similar problem with a phone - funnily enough it was being bought for someone in Nigeria!

Don't send anything until payment is received as it sounds like you're being conned.

You will need to report this buyer as a scammer. Very common scenario I'm afraid. If you decide to relist then you must state that you will not send overseas.

omg I nearly sent an e reader off and the lil bitch or whoever she was hasnt paid anything to paypal

she even just emailed me to say se spoke to paypal and they said it might take a few days and paypal said this never happens so cancel any postage label

now what do I do , am suppose to contact ebay right

Either do second chance offer.

If no decent second chance, once you get your FVF back on the unpaid dispute - ALL communication through ebay dispute centre
relist with your seller preferences set to UK bidders and delivery only.

Sorry but i think u are being scammed hunny, but you still have the item, so no real damage done.

Deffo a scam. Happened to DH selling a phone or something electrical, can't remember - said she was in america and wanting to send to relative in Nigeria. Ebay and paypal were very good on email, all cancelled and listing fees returned. DH listed again and sold to a genuine buyer.

It is a scam. Unless the money is pending and showing in your PayPal account then the email is false.

All PayPal emails address you by name too.

PayPal have their own website forum, I post on their and they have actual PayPal staff posting too.

The email you got is fake, if the money is not in your PayPal account you have not been paid.

holden01, please stop advanced searching mn for any mention of Nigeria and then ranting about people expressing their own views. You are coming across as quite quite mad.

This happened to me.

I was selling an old laptop that I was expecting to go for around £100. In the last 1minute of the auction the bids suddenly went right up to over £1000.

The winning bidder wanted it posting to Nigeria.

I received a badly worded email from 'Paypal' saying that payment had been received but when I logged into my Paypal account there was no money there - I opened a dispute.

So sorry you were scammed - hope you finally manage to sell.
