Cheaper after Xmas?

In your experience of eBay, do toys etc go for less after Xmas? (and are there many around?!) My DTs have their birthday in January, and are desperate for Playmobil.
Am I likely to get any bargains then, or should I bite the bullet and get things now?

More likely to get bargains after Xmas, yes.
Best time for bargains is August.

yes.. can agree to this.. makes a lot of sense that most things become cheaper after Christmas.. I'm planning on buying a new TV but I guess I will wait till February or march cause there is a good chance they will be cheaper there.. and if not I'm at least sure that they won't get more expensive :D

What about the VAT rise sheerer - surely new stuff will cost more in the new year?

Most big companies will be absorbing the VAT increase, the best time to buy a TV is in the January sales.
