Urgent Payment Question; Help Please!!

Having just sold a lot of my baby equipment in order to buy a new electric shower, I've just gone to pay for one on ebay, but PayPal is only letting the payment go out of a credit card account which I refuse to use. All payments usually go out of my bank account, so I am not sure what's going on or how to change it so that payment goes out of my bank and not my credit card.

I don't know what funds are in the bank, but I have enough of an overdraft to cover it until I can put the cash in.

Can anyone enlighten me please and tell me how I can get the payment taken from my bank please?

I had this the other day. Turned out that Paypal had restricted my account until I had updated the security questions. Didn't help with the transaction I was trying to pay as I ended up phoning them and paying by my debit card (was a business seller).

Thanks for answering.

Don't they tell you if they restrict your account? I've looked through everything and can't see anything that's not right, I paid for something for my uncle via my PP about 6 weeks ago and that was ok...I'm confused! was going to phone them, but it's an international number!

I'll see if I can email them. Bugger! I'm desparate to get my shower back grrr!

They've just added this and as I know I'm ok, it doesn't fill me with glee over the seller and she has over 2000 transactions and near on 100% feedback.

Funding Options

PayPal is constantly working to protect our members against fraud. We review every transaction before it is approved, and we may block a payment when we detect a potential risk.

Our reviews take into account every aspect of a transaction, including looking at both parties. These decisions help us maintain the integrity of our payments network in the same way as other payment processors: by declining transactions with an unacceptable level of risk.

While our fraud measures occasionally block a legitimate payment, to maintain overall security, we cannot overturn any decisions about an individual transaction.

If you decide to continue this transaction using a different funding source, please note that the associated risk levels have not been decreased.

I only found out when I went into my paypal account to check the problem. Took me straight to a page to update my details. Firstly I had to choose a password, then pick a security question. Then they gave me a code I had to enter into the phone when they called me a minute later. I haven't used it since but it seems to be back to normal. Bloody nuisance!

Sometimes you can only fund via a card, each transaction is based on different factors at the time you pay.

If you have made a lot of payments recently, then they will not allow bank funding, only funding via a card.

Sorry.

No, I'm not a big buyer, only 43 in 6/7 years, (the last one was end of September) but enough ~ with 100% feedback for them to know there's no problem with me to cause concern.

Thanks for your help though :)
