reversed payment bank inquiry?

have been selling on bay for a few years now and this has never happened before

Buyer should have recieved the item now but the payment through paypal has been reversed saying bank inquiry in the details

Is this anything to do with the seller? They have not emailed me at all about the item to say they have it or are not pleased with it

I have had to proof postage by uploading a copy of my receipt to paypal, but even though I have been able to do this I am a little concerned that I have no tracking number just a standard receipt where the lady at the post office has written the house number and postcode on

did you send it signed for?

mrsissue · 06/11/2010 08:33

I have just posted that the exact same thing has happened to me but the buyer has left positive feedback and said that they haven?t reversed the payment. Pay pal do not consider proof of postage receipts as proof that the item arrived and you are only covered if you have tracking number.

no I had underestimated the postage so just sent it as a standard parcel, which is annoying as I do normally always get stuff sent signed for

Oh well that's ridiculous so I will be £30 down and have no bag as I have had no communication from the buyer at all

Mrissue did you get you money back then since the buyer left feedback?

Can I claim through the post office does anyone know, I now have a negative paypal balance as I bought something using paypal and don;t really have enough cash at the mo to rectify this, can paypal get the funds out of your bank themselves or do you have to add the funds

your receipt enables you to claim from the post office

AlicesWonderland · 06/11/2010 08:44

sorry just read that you haven't had it sorted yet

hhmmm do we think paypal is beng over zealous....surely it is up to the buyer to say they haven't recieved the item before paypal steams in

I only posted it out on Tues it may not even have got there yet, but now if my buyer chooses to they could just say eerrmmm no sorry haven't got this and have a freebie Sad

thanks EldonAve guess if this doesn't come out in my favour I'll have to do that although I'm sure you have to wait so long don;t you?

You can get the £30 back from the post office but the person has the item and pay pal have taken your £30 off you so you affectively have nothing now. Not the money or the item.
its bloody anoying

EldonAve · 06/11/2010 10:23

did you post before you received payment?

classydiva · 06/11/2010 17:57

The payment has bounced, no seller protection on a bounced payment. Sorry. So even if you had sent signed for you would not be covered if you could prove receipt via online tracking.

AlicesWonderland · 08/11/2010 20:13

no I recieved payment on Friday so I posted on the Tuesday the payment got reversed on the following Friday Sad

I have messgaed the seller and had no response Angry
