OMG I want to cry - Paypal account frozen!

I've just tried to withdraw the £200 I have in my PP account and it's frozen. It says they randomly do security updates and I have been chosen. The problem is, it won't let me update the information they require other than by post. I am currently on hold to their helpline but it's just told me my call won't be answered for at least 15 minutes! And it's an 0870 number - it'll cost me £200 in one phone call to be told there's nothing they can do!

I spoke to a chap for a maximum of 30 seconds and he said everything will be restored in the next 2 to 3 minutes!...we'll see...

do yo need to send your ID across to them?

I have had similar issues with the Meet up paypal account i set up.

stupidly i put my name as my posting name rather than RL name.

it meant i couldn't withdraw anything or transfer anything or do anything. it was most worrying as it was full of everyone elses money.

thankfully a couple of faxes and it was all sorted out.

I hope yours is sorted with similar ease

Gigan - eek!! That could have been very awkward!! Glad it got fixed!

Thisis - I tried there first but the numbers disappeared a second after the screen opened. The only number I got (after repeatedly opening the page and scribbling it down as quickly as poss) was an ebay number and when I rang it the line was closed for the day!

Someone's hacked my PP account now and PP have frozen my account again!
