I find I have very mixed luck on ebay, particuarly with women's clothing.
For example I once listed a Dorothy Perkins coat in good nick, size 12 and got about £7 for it. At the same time I listed a mad blue fluffy cookie monster coat which I bought for £14 quid and got over £40 for it.
Right now I have a Karen Millen dress on ebay which has a lot of interest, but lots of unusual tops which haven't even got one bid.
So, do people want cheap stuff or unusual stuff on ebay? Generally I mean.

I've found that people go nuts for Next stuff for reasons best known to themselves. And 'names' iykwim? And I don't like to be uncharitable about the buyers, but some really, um, tasteless stuff too!

People want stuff REALLY cheap too. Which is fair enough.

I tend to look for nice stuff that I would not be able to afford otherwise. Good, well known labels, that I know how they fit, but also not super pricey second hand. I tend to buy Next and Boden (for me and DS) as they fit these criteria, and are well made enough that second hand they will still have life in them.

I also treat and Ebay bid like a gamble ie: I could afford to loose that money if the item is a not up to much.

Maybe your unusual tops are not getting much interest as too unusual? Maybe the viewers can not picture what they are getting?

I go for cheap rather than unusual.
