depends on the item and its target audience.
sunday evening is good for most things, but I've found monday evening to be better. Many people are listing their own stuff on a sunday evening and so don't have time to look and bid, but adding the extra day gives them time iyswim.
Look at times when you reckon people are home from work/ have finished dinner / have put the kiddies to bed / aren't out having fun / aren't watching corrie/strictly/xfactor....

I agree! Also if you are selling children's stuff, bear in mind what parents of said children will be doing at ending time (eg don't put toddler toys to end between 6 and 7 as you'll find a lot of those parents are doing bath and bed)
