sold an itme 2 weeks ago arrived with buyer next day didnt hear anything till yday when i was informed the item is aparently faulty and a health hazard to children and saying they were leaving negative.

i have not had the supposed problem ever when using this item

i replied offering to send a courier to pick it up and refund all costs

however buyer says no they wnt to keep it as they have fixed it but they want half the costs refunded as they have been inconvienienced. if i do not refund this i will aparently recive negative feedback breaking my 200+ posive

they either keep it and are happy with it or they return it for a full refund - their choice.

Unfortunatly you cant stop them leaving negative feedback i dont think but I wouldnt be happy about refunding whilst they kept the item

sixlostmonkeys · 18/10/2010 15:29

you can report them for threatening to leave a neg unless you do as they say.
simply tell them again that you will refund if they return it. Report the threat of a neg. If they neg you appeal against it.

maxybrown · 18/10/2010 15:35

I would report them defintely. They are threatening you, against ebay rules - you have done the right thing in offering to have it returned. Report them NOW!!

happyfairy · 18/10/2010 16:35

thanks everyone how do you report it through ebay or paypal?

ive never delt with anyone quite like it on ebay - saying im knowingly risking their childs health but still willing to keep the item as there happy other with the item other than the fault which risks their childs health!

i would just accept the refund if it was my childs health at risk!!

do you think i should let buyer know i have asked ebay for advice or risk the negative in the meantime? she wants to know asap apparently what im going to do!

no def not. Let her leave the negative in the mean time if she wants to - you will def be able to get it removed as she threatened you!! I bet she will be scared to leave negative anyway as she wants a bit of money off and if she leaves neg FB then you may not bother (from her point of view) cos even if she sticks in a PP claim, all they will do is ask her to return it! She is bullying you in effect!
