I sold an item, around a week later the buyer emailed me to say it was faulty. I disputed it but he said he would return it to be and just wanted a refund of what was paid inc p&p (given the fact we will both have paid one lot of postage iykwim)

I have just received item, and to me it seems as though maybe its broken after it left me. So possibly buyer..? TBH I have my doubts, think he got the item decided it wasn't what he wanted after testing it for almost a week and then wanted a refund..

WWYD..?

BTW, I did post about this a few days ago but thought it best to start a new thread. TIA x

Could you claim from the PO? If it was working when it left you but faulty when it arrived with the buyer then maybe something happened when it was in the post?

possibly, but not sure if the po would let me claim..? how can i prove it iykwim..?

I think it might be the case that the PO would need to prove that they didn't damage it? However, you might need the original packaging etc.

How about paypal? What do they cover?

Have you had a look on the ebay help pages? There might be more helpful information there!
