I sold an item on the 24th sept, buyer emailed me for instructions, advised it wasn't advertised/sold with any but gave my best advice via email and suggested contacting the manufacturer.

The have now emailed me 6-7 days later saying the item is faulty. They want the full amount paid inc p&p and will not charge me to return it (I will also be out of pocker p&P)..

What do I do..? Yes, im pretty sure I muct accept it back and pay a full refund but part of me thinks they used the item, found it wasn't what they wanted and now want a refund..?

WWYD..?? TIA X

What is the fault and did you describe it as being in full working order?

Shhhh · 05/10/2010 13:52

Its not faulty as far as im aware. I tested it before posting it and it showed no signs of any problems.

It was advetised as used and working which it was at time of being posted. It was packaged well.

Part of me thinks maybe they have got it, tried it and feel its not what they expected and no longer want it so say its faulty iykwim...Hmm

tell them to send it back and that once you have checked the serial number and had it checked and tested you will be in a position to consider a refund

is that in the hope they may panic and back out of returning it !

will do what you suggested sixlost...

They may be tempted to damage it before returning it so it might be worth asking what the problem with it is before they return it. Then tell them that it needs to come back to you in the condition it was sent.
