A guy wants to buy my used Tesco vouchers.........

Hi,

I've just sold some Tesco vouchers on eBay and another guy has emailed me asking to buy the vouchers after i've ordered for the other person. Here's his email -

"Hi, would you be interested in selling the 9 'used' Tesco Clubcard Vouchers, i.e. after you have ordered the deal for the buyer? It's just that I'm looking for 30, regardless of denomination, for use by pupils in a school Supermarket Project and, for obvious reasons, they must have no value. I have a small budget and would be willing to pay £5 + £1 P&P for them. Please let me know. Regards, Derek. "

Is this a scam ? Is it safe to do it?

Thanks

I would say no. Perhaps he is hoping to get in there first, before the other person cashes them!

Why can't he photocopy the ones he's already got?

Sounds very dodgy.

I've used them to order Prezzo vouchers for the other person so the tesco vouchers now have no value and i would normally bin them.

Confused Like everyone else, im skint atm and making £5 for something i was going to throw in the bin sounds interesting. Confused Hmmmmmm

I don't understand about "ordering" vouchers. How does that work? Surely vouchers are used once only, and that's it?

Surely if you worked in a school you would just ask parents for them.

He could be trying to get your address for a scam?

I'd post this on the ebay message boards, there are some very good members on there who might know. It doesn't sound right.

TotorosOcarina · 05/10/2010 10:20

I don't think £5 is worth the worry of what he 'might' be doing!

pluperfect · 05/10/2010 11:30

Very true. And it wouldn't even be £5, thanks to PayPal!

muddleduck · 05/10/2010 13:43

my guess is that he plans to try and sell them on.

sounds ok to me, quite a good idea for maths or something

southeastastra · 05/10/2010 14:00

ask him for school details

Beb · 05/10/2010 14:03

I would say that you'll happily send direct to the school, but not to a personal address.

muddleduck · 05/10/2010 14:20

absolutely no way is this a legit request.
