Postage...how do i add on more than the standard £4.00 charge?

ive been trying to do this for an hour and cant get anywhere... wanted to add more than the standard £4.00 charge (im using Recorded Delivery 1st class too).

think my eyes is gonna fall out!!!

Which is why I don't sell books anymore!

Is this when you're setting up an auction? On one of the setup pages there is a box near the bottom that allows you to put in whatever postage amount you want to. It is near the bottom of the page and the amount defaults from the last auction you set up so you need to keep scrolling down to find it.

Some categories have a limit on what you can charge for postage, eg. children's clothes.

Ebay won't let you exceed that amount. The only way round it if you're eg. doing a bundle or a particularly heavy item is to select the option under services that says something like "Other Courier" and put the charge for that in your item description.

But be aware that your postage will then prob be more than most other people's for that category, whcih may put people off (unless there's a specific reason for the higher postage charge).

ive worked it out! ive gone loopy now!

i changed the category to baby>baby clothing and it was able to let me to put my own postal price on...phew!
