claiming payment

have hust started selling on ebay.Sold about 10 things yesterday.the payments have nearly all come in but a couple say 'transaction has been initiated.One of these buyers emailed me to say she had sent the payment and is waiting for me to claim it.What does this mean and how do i do it?

Have they sent payment by cheque or something? Unless you specify Paypal only or particular types of payment they can pay however they like.

You don't need to claim Paypal, it all works automatically.

I would check how they've paid and then specify Paypal only next time, it's much easier.

I did specify paypal only? Why would ebay say paypal payment initiated on teh 18th ? can you mark that on somehow without paying through ebay?

It might be an e-Cheque? Have you logged onto PayPal? e-Cheques take as long to clear as a normal cheque, so don't send the good out until the monies have cleared into your PayPal account (if that's what this situation is of course!)
