What makes you suspect shill bidding and do ebay actually do anything?

I'm bidding on a local collection only item.
Someone else is bidding against me - they have 0% feedback and have not bid on anything else in the last 30 days

Is this likely to be shill bidding?

If you report it to ebay, do they do anything?

Let them win and see if the item is relisted straight away.

It could be - if so you can't really do much but stop bidding, and let them win.

The seller will probably then relist immediately. But you don't want to buy anything from a seller willing to do that anyway - what else will they be willing to lie about?

Pull out now - also if ebay are informed they will be unlikely to act before the end of the auction, if at all. They won't tell you if they find anything out either.

Sorry - I know it's gutting. It may not be shill anyway, if you just bid what you would be happy to pay then it might be OK.

I used to click on community then find member box - but you can't see their name any more can you, in the bidding list. It would tell you whereabouts they were registered.
