I am so angry about this Neg feedback. Need a well worded reply!

Basically i made an error with address (I put number 18 instead of 81). I contacted buyer as soon as DHL tracking said address not found and i also found the contact number for the DHL centre which had the parcel and let the buyer know the phone number.

The parcel arrived Monday (sent wednesday)and the buyer contacted me to explain why they had trouble with delivery (wrong number on address) and i appologised.

Thought no more of it until i just checked my feedback and find they have left a negative, reason being 'got my adress mixed up so had problems delivering to me'.

Surely this is not a good reason for Neg? I don't see it would require Neutral either as it was an easy (albeit silly) error to make.

What you put in reply to the feedback message?

Say "Sorry I made a mistake with the address which resulted in the delivery being a couple of days late".

I think most people would be happy with reading that.

Over 80 counting spaces Smile. Just waiting to see if buyer explains their reason,have emailed them through Ebay!

before you leave a reply why not send them a message? tell that you wish to appologise again for your error but had hoped that your efforts in sorting teh problem out had been satisfactory. say that you appreciate there was some inconvenience for which again you appologise for but would they reconsider their neg FB? - They cn retract it. You need to send them a request. Send a grovelling message 1st though.
If they refuse then add a reply
