Wow! What are you selling?

anonymousbird · 15/09/2010 11:54

Shit, what ARE you selling?

I've had 100+ watchers on Land Rover parts - people go mad for those. Some guy drove all the way from Italy to collect a £100 part (seriously) and another guy had an item picked up by courier to be shipped to the USA.....

Most bizarrely and unexpectedly popular item I ever had (car related again - I am not a petrol head, but obviously the rest of the world is!) was an all in one toddler's suit, with Subaru World Rally branding on it... We were given as a gift, DS wore to a couple of fancy dress parties under the age of 2, it was quite cool I must say.

Anyway, listed it under "fancy dress" - some guy emailed to say "list it under car parts, you'll get much more interest". So I did, had well over 100 watchers, about 20 bidders and sold it for something ridiculous like nearly FORTY POUNDS!!! And I am talking a babygro, with Subaru written on it.

TELL US WHAT YOU ARE SELLING!!! I am intrigued..

It is a Bianchi road bike frame and forks, according to dh they are in huge demand!

200 on my very old (but working perfectly) caravan - no kidding. We started bidding at £650 and it sold for £1045!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the key is to have something that stands out - currently trying to sell a really boring car on there and having no luck at all...

OhCobblers · 16/09/2010 14:32

crap, thought i'd done well with 20 on a toy bundle Grin
