Turbo Lister aargh!!!

I wanted to list a load of items to take advantage of the free listing days. Loads of people recommended Turbo Lister so I downloaded it, opened it up, created a listing, saved it as a template, spent a couple hours creating another 20 listings, hitting 'Save' at the end of each one. I didn't want to upload them to Ebay as I thought that would start the listings running.

So I closed down TL, turned off the computer, and went to bed.

Now it looks like all my work has vanished! Is it true that unless you do 'backup database' that everything is lost?

Very, very hacked off. :(

Did you create a folder to put each one in? Or did you just keep changing the template?
I rarely back-up and I've never lost anything.

You can not have the free listings this weekend with items uploaded from Turbo Lister anyway.

I didn't change the template - all the listings were going into a folder called 'My Items' which was the default location.

Have just read some forums and found that TL is now excluded from FLDs... will see what I can list tonight.

for future tl use - right click the My items folder and create a new sub folder - and save your listings in there.
Is there a number next to the folder to indicate you have some listings in it?

When did TL become excluded for free listing? Glad i didn't get around to putting items in TL now!
NC I hope you can get some items listed tonight.

Ha!

Have just found them all! Was about to say I didn't have any folders...

I'd gone to 'Look at a sample user file' when I first opened the program, assuming it was the typical read-only demo, but which contained zero listings, and then saved all mine from there there.

Was wondering how this all worked seeing as I'd never been asked for my Ebay ID or anything!

So given as TL is barred anyway, I can now just cut and paste!

That's good news NC Smile.

Really sixlostmonkeys? I didn't know you couldn't use them for free listing?! I thought it was the same as doing it normally? Glad I didn't get round to any ebaying today as I would of used turbo lister and saved for free listing!

yes, the second line of the announcement says "Items listed using seller tools, such as (but not limited to), Turbo Lister and Sales Manager Pro, are excluded. Items will only be eligible for this promotion if they are listed with the Quick sell or Advanced Sell Your Item forms."

They did this before a couple of times. the second time it stated it was excluded there was a follow up that it wasn't actually excluded. - I'm assuming that the announcement stands this time though.
