Help! E-bay virgin needs to sell x-box

Just that really. I've got an x-box 360 and several games that I need to sell but I have no experience at all of e-bay.

How do I make sure that I don't get ripped off? What's the best way to get payment? Can I check the buyer's history? Are there any danger signs I should be wary of?
