I have a tent for sale with a buy it now price - someone is coming to see it and I'm expecting him any minute.

I also have a lady who is currently right this minute firing loads of questions via email about the tent, wanting to know details. She's just asked if I'll take an offer - I've said no.

What do I do if bloke comes and says he want s it but in the 5 mins he's been i nthe garden looking at it she has clicked buy it now and bought it??

Oooh that is a tricky one.
Does it say on the listing that it is up for sale elsewhere?

Yes it does, I have put that I reserve the right to finish the auction early.

I can't see if I can actually finish the auction early but suppose I just change the description to say "don't bid".

But am just worrying that when I go to do this it will have been sold.

You can end the listing if needed.
I think you would just have to email the buy it now buyer (if they buy) and explain that it has just been sold. Hopefully won't happen Smile.

I can't see how to end it - do you know how to? Thanks.

Sorry, went off to do some stuff. Smile

In your My Ebay, items selling. At the end of the items there is a drop down menu (more items). One of the options is 'end item'.

HTH and that it's not to late. Smile

Thanks.

He came and bought it. I changed the description to say sold, don't bid.

But with your help I've ended it, so thats a relief as I was still worrying some idiot wouldn't read the description and would bid!
