WWYD with this ebay P & P?

I won a junior bed last night on ebay.

Seller stated that the £15 p & p was if the mattress was wanted as well as the bed. I don't want the mattress as I am going to buy a new one and I emailed the seller to tell them this and asked them to send an invoice.

They have sent an invoice for the full p & p amount of £15 which I am annoyed about as they clearly stated it would only be that much to cover the cost of sending the mattress.

WWYD?

So are you going to pick up the bed?

If so, re-send the query and your email.

No the bed is being posted. I would have no problem paying the £15 p & p but it is because they stated that it was only going to be that much if the mattress was to be posted as well. It is more about them being misleading in their add.

They have got back in touch and said they are charging the £15 just for the bed and to contact them over whether I still want it. I do but I also reminded them that their add was misleading with regards to how much postage they were going to charge for sending the bed with no mattress. I am tempted to leave neutral feedback but I feel a bit guilty.

A bit annoying that they didn't give a price for postage without the mattress, but I guess you should have checked beforehand. And it will still be pretty heavy, £15 is probably not excessive?

So in reply to your question, I'd probably be reasonable about the feedback, assuming the bed's in good nick and they haven't massively overcharged you on the P+P (bearing in mind packaging costs, fuel to get to the PO, etc...)

Unless they've had previous negative feedback mentioning postage costs, what's probably happened is that they've just realised how much it will still be without the mattress and don't want to leave themselves out of pocket.
