Should I retract this negative feedback?

(Bit long, sorry)

I bought a baby Gap shirt on ebay. As soon as the auction finished (on 10 July), the seller messaged me and asked me to pay asap if I could, as she was going to the PO in the morning. I paid her straightaway so I was expecting to receive the shirt that week.

However, two weeks passed and no sign of it. I contacted her again and asked her if she had posted it. I left it three days and she didn?t reply, so I left her negative feedback (basically, no sign of item, no contact from seller). She had already been left negative feedback (relating to non receipt) for another item which finished at about the same time as the shirt. She had 14 positive feedback before that.

Anyway, this morning (30 July ? so 20 days after auction end) she messaged me to say ?im so sorry for the delay due to family emergency i had to go awy and been without internet access until today , so sorry. item is now packaged and ready to be sent today-please remove negative feedback thanks?

I understand things do crop up but I am a bit at this since she has managed to receive positive feedback for some dungarees which ended on 12 July (which presumably she did send) so obviously she hasn?t been totally out of action!

Even if she does send the item today, do you think I should remove my feedback?

I was undecided until you said she appears to have posted an item during this time of family emergency.
I would leave the neg and also open a dispute for item not received

Leave the feedback as it is - every time I have had a problem with a seller there has been an excuse about family emergencies/deaths/being in hospital etc. At first I was very understanding but now I take the stance that it's all bollocks - either that or ebay sellers are the unluckiest group of people in the world

Ok, thanks both, am leaving the feedback as it is. Just need to decide whether to explain to her why I am leaving it as it is, i.e. because despite the emergency she managed to post another item!
