ARDID - weight loss

Anyone else with arfid for any tips for losing weight?

like most of you I’m sooooooo restricted with what I can eat that dieting is impossible. All I can think to do is have a slimfast - actually it makes life easier as the food noise about what I can face actually chewing is gone then - but it gives me big headaches. Is this an anomaly?

I have arfid too. I’m using the app ‘simple’. So I fast from 6pm - 10am and then the rest of the time I eat as normal. One week in and I’m down 2.3lbs

@lavenderanddaisiesthanks for your reply. I did wonder about fasting as it is. Ore simple than trying to work out calories from my limited array of foods! I’ll check out the app not heard of it. Do you still restrict calories or just restrict the times you eat?

It’s £30 a month so not the cheapest but I thought it’s worth a try.
You don’t calorie count. There is an ai feature where you can take a photo of your food or you can enter it manually. The ai just rates the food on how good it is across various elements but I don’t worry too much about that. For me I find that eating in a smaller time window automatically means I’m eating less and I’m trying to be more mindful about snacking.
There is an exercise programme with it; an ai you can talk to for advice and meal ideas and you can track your water and activity levels too.
