My son is 21 and has bulimia. He has had a mental health assessment recently and the adult mental health service cannot offer him support, but have told him they have referred him to a programme of support run by BEAT for people who 'binge and purge'.
I have tried to find out more about this programme, so that I can talk to my son about it (he likes to know what to expect), but I cannot find any information about it nor any details of what 'criteria' people have to meet to be eligible for the programme (the assessor hinted that there were criteria for eligibility).
Does anyone know anything about such a programme?
