My daughter has an ED , not diagnosed but I've known for about 8 months .
We've been back and forward to docs and they've been monitoring with the hope it would improve .
She's had regular bloods etc done
It's slightly improved in that weight loss slowed down and levelled for about 3 months .
She's been seeing a (private) counsellor for about 6 weeks and that has helped . She's more herself
However , I can't ignore the fact that it's getting worse in different ways . She can't eat anything I prepare / eats in her room / I've noticed she's being a bit evasive . She keeps saying she wants to get better , is much more open but keeps crying and saying she just can't make the changes needed . She says it's about control but she doesn't know why .
We were back at the dietician (she's vegan and not following the advice re calcium or anything )
The dietician has said (finally) that she's referring her to a specialist team .
What does that mean? How long will it take ?
I'm on my own with the children and I feel so scared for her .

It doesnt sound too good. Did you ask for a timescale? I think getting specialist help soon sounds important.
Can I ask what she weighs?
