Or cabs with space for a buggy with child strappes in it, or that have car seats suitable for 12- 15kg?

Thanksin advance!

I don’t think you can book a black cab. Cardiff has loads of taxis though and decent transport links. Enter do you need your go?

The thing is that we need to be able to transport a toddler safely and we came on the train so dont have a car seat here.

In lindon and Edinburgh they are bookable

I'd phone up companies and ask if they have a child seat, make sure you get one which has integrated straps, not a booster seat. Most likely this will be one of the older 9-18kg type or newer 0-4 years / up to 105cm.

Legally you don't need a car seat in a taxi, but I would prefer to use one as well. In case you end up travelling without a seat, a child older than 3 should use their own seatbelt on their own seat. A child under 3 should sit on an adult's lap, the adult should wear the seatbelt but do not put it around the child as well. In an accident, the adult's weight would crush the child into the seatbelt. Ideally, sit in a backwards facing seat.

Where are you going to and from? Can you use the bus or train?
