Mike Peters from The Alarm has died

He had been suffering from cancer for a long while but always seemed so positive and he raised a lot of awareness and money

He was married with two sons.

I saw The Alarm a lot when I was growing up.

It really rallied the Welsh spirits.

I read this earlier. I loved the Alarm as I was growing up. May have to did some out to play later.

Awww sad. I saw them back in the 80s.

Such sad news, he fought so hard and for so long and always tried to make a difference for others. I can’t imagine how his wife Jules must be feeling, they’ve been together such a long time

I saw him in the pub and he seemed pleasant and un-starry.

@AnnieBennhe was very unstarry and down to earth. He always made time for fans and gave a lot of himself, Jules is the same

The first time I saw him in the pub, I was a bit ' OMG! Isn't that Mike Peters of The Alarm?' and the landlord said 'Yeah, he's a really nice guy'.

He did so much good in his too short life, and I'm proud to come from the same area as him.

What a good person he was. An inspiration.
