If you have had a baby via donor embryo/double donation how many transfers did it take to get pregnant?

Ive just had a failed second FET with top quality donor embryo and i thought it would work first time - now im planning a third cycle.

Has it taken this long for anyone else?

I thought DE would be the answer 😭

Hi @IsSuccessCumulative i had 3 transfers, so the 3rd one was successful. I knew, it might not work first time, but was very hopeful. It didn’t. The first 2 were 4AA, the 3rd that worked was 3AA.

Both of mine were 4AB. Maybe I should ask if they have a 3/4/5 AA for the third transfer? I suppose it depends if they have any top graded ones from suitable donors.

Its just surprised me as I thought it would work quickly. My clinic does have a 90% success rate for 3 transfers so hopefully third time lucky for me too.

I was successful on first FET. But I wasn’t taking chances. I replicated the anti-inflammatory protocol on the website for CNY fertility (Dr Kiltz). I was able to source meds online. It’s basically just H1/H2 antihistamines plus prednisone low dose. There’s no risk or interaction so I did it quietly and didn’t tell the clinic. First FET worked and I’m scheduled for cesarean in 9 days. I’ll do it again on my next one.

It took 1 for me. I didn’t do anything special except follow the clinic hormone protocol. Good luck x
