IVF - Donor egg clinic recommendations/advice

Hi everyone, I hoped that I might get some advice/recommendations on the best clinics (either UK or abroad) using donor eggs. I am 44 years old, have had 6 cycles of IVF with my own eggs, one pregnancy and a recent miscarriage. We have decided to explore the donor route but I know very little about it. I want to find the clinic with the best sucess rates for women my age. It would also be really good to talk to anyone who has been/is in a similar position to me and has taken the donor route. I feel like I am getting lost in a massive amount of information when I look online and I do not know anyone personally that has been through this. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you x

Hello, sorry to hear about your difficult journey.
I used Instituto Bernabeu in Madrid but they also have clinics in other Spanish cities, including Alicante. I had a lot of IVF in the UK and also had own egg treatment in Spain before moving to donor eggs.
You could have a look at Donor Conception Network for information.

Donors are anonymous in Spain which is not ideal but I had lost hope of ever having a family and wanted the best possible treatment and techniques.

I had ivf here successfully but my SIL was older than you and went to Spain (same Madrid clinic as previous post) used donor eggs and has twins now. They get great results there.

We went to see them and the whole experience was great. Our beautify DD is 11 now and I would not change a thing.

Hello, Similar to you, I failed OE and am moving on to DE. I found the Donor Conception network really useful. there are lots of What's up groups and online meetings with different people on a different point in this. All the best 🙂

im sorry about your difficulties in this journey. We went with Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante. We loved how they treated us and the team is very professional and have a 6 weeks old now! I def recommend and happy to answer any questions in private messages

This is a late reply but for anyone who is searching in future, I am 44 and went to Gennet in Prague for donor egg IVF. I have just got my first faint positive test on our first transfer ☺️ Prague has been wonderful for IVF.

A late reply from my side: last week, while browsing youtube, I came across a brand-new channel called behind ivf doors, which reviews ivf clinics in Europe. There aren’t many reviews yet — at least when I watched — but the ones that are there are incredibly detailed. Hope this helps you in choosing a clinic
