Embryo adoption

Hi, my name is Janey, myself and my partner are travelling to alicante from the uk for a consultation at Institute bernabeu. We have had 4 failed embryo transfers in the uk so have decided to go down the embryo adoption route as our last chance. I just wondered if anyone could tell us what the process would be? How many times we would have to travel to Alicante and how long it would all take?
I really hope it’s ok that i ask for some advise , thank you xx😊

I don’t have any advice or experience but I wish you all the very best with your journey xxx

Usually you'd only need to visit once. You could have an online consult then all your tests and scans done in UK and just go over for the transfer. As you're going over, you could get blood tests and maybe scans done which might save money and time in UK. But generally for this, you'll have a few blood tests and scans to check all is well. Then once you've decided on the embryo you'll have either a natural or medicated cycle in the month you choose..once you start your period you'll take oestrogen for about 10 days, have a scan on day 10 to check lining. Then take progesterone for 14 days then day 16/17 all being well you'll have transfer. Can travel home same or next day.

@janeyc1986 how did it go? Did you have a good experience with them?

Hi Sunset vibe.
Our journey changed in the end. We are with a clinic in the czech republic and have just gone through out our egg route.

Hi @janeyc1986 thanks for replying, all the best to you!

May I ask what made you not go with IB in the end? I'm considering this clinic, and of course the situations are different, but trying to gather people's feelings about the clinic before I commit.

Good luck OP. I’m with a Czech clinic too, Fertility Port. I’m still trying with my own eggs at the moment but realistic that embryo donation may be our next move.

For me I’ve had a lot of failed transfers and my embryo quality hasn’t been great using my eggs and I came accross reprofit which had high success rates for what we were looking for , that’s all really x

Currently undergoing an embryo adoption in Spain, just had the transfer done today. Like the clinic here, it's not all glitz and glam, I feel they are honest and genuine.

Good luck @Rosagem
