Where do we start with egg donation?

I’m nearly 39 and we would like to have a second child at some point. Due to my age, I realize my eggs will now be poor quality. I would never be able to forgive myself if this led to us having a child who was disabled. I’d therefore like to use an egg donor. How can we get started with this? Are there any clinics people here would recommend? We’re in Surrey.

plenty of women conceive over the age of 39!
Your first step would be to contact a clinic and have some tests yourself. They may be able to put your mind at rest about your egg quality.
IVF with donor eggs is expensive, eg Care in Manchester the cost for a fresh IVF cycle with donor eggs using your partners sperm is from £9450 and the success rate for pregnancy is just 56%, it didn’t give the live birth rate.
