Hi, I'm just waiting for funding for DEIVF with my fiancé. I've been told I am entitled to 2 cycles.

What is actually included in a 'cycle'? Is it just one transfer?

TIA X

Hello @rachel.golden , so yes I did IVF cycle, not DE but other. I guess it's quite similar to what I know of. The cycle is the injections, implanting and TWW (two week wait), in the UK is one transfer per cycle because of HFEA authority says so (I am sure??? Don't think I am wrong, but rules change all the time, I don't know what HFEA are up to). I have heard of two cycles in one go but I think that's another country or state that allows that, sorry if I am wrong about if HFEA does/does not allow it. As far as I know it's one transfer per cycle??? But if your fertility MOT needs more assistance then possible two transfers in one go??? I'm not too sure to be honest. I'm sure a mumsnetter on here could have better answers than me. I'm only trying my best to answer your question. The best people who know are the HFEA.

Hi OP, if you are getting NHS funding the rules are set by your CCG, it varies around the country.

Some places the treatment will include transfers of any frozen embryos, others might have a limit. If you have a baby there will probably be a cost for continued storage of any other embryos.
