HI I am in my early 40s with 4 children, I have been with current partner for 11 years and my periods disappeared about 9 years ago bloods don't show menopause but no obvious cause of why. I was sterlised in 2015. BUt the last few my partner has been talking about getting pregnant and i've been really considering it which is not something i thought i would ever say again, (none of my kids are his) Would donor eggs be the answer? Any help or advice would be appreciated

Why raise this now, after over a decade together?

It's been raised several times but I have brushed it off until now, thanks for your helpful answer

Donor egg sounds like it would be an option. I'm in my 40's and pregnant for the first time with a donor egg and partners sperm. I would speak to a few IVF clinics and see what packages they offer and also how they choose their donors. There will be lots of tests on yourself and your partner initially to understand if there are any other factors that would effect your ability to get pregnant but if it's something you want to do, can get your head around the donor concept and have the finances to do it, I don't see why you shouldn't Smile
