Donor egg miscarriage

This is my first post, but feeling really alone at the moment so thought it was a good time to start. I was diagnosed with POF out of the blue last year with an AMH of less than 0.2, before my partner and I had attempted to try naturally. We quickly moved on to donor eggs, and I had my first transfer in April. Luckily I got a BFP, followed by a heartbeat at a six week scan, only to have a missed miscarriage discovered at a seven week scan. I’m utterly devastated and so just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, and gone on to have a family. At the moment I’m just terrified that it’s a sign of yet another problem, because I can’t find many accounts of it, and that ultimately the treatment won’t work for us

I am so sorry that this has happened to you ❤️

I had a missed miscarriage after my first DE transfer. I was in my 20s with no health issues other than high FSH. I was beyond devastated, lost all hope and honestly don’t know how I survived.

My second transfer resulted in my son 😊

It wasn’t a sign of any other problems. It was just pure rotten luck. Much like being totally infertile before I was 25.

Horrifically cruel and unfair, but not a sign of anything more sinister ❤️

Thank you so much for replying, I really appreciate it, and I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this. 25 is so young, I was 35 and couldn’t believe it, looking back there were a lot of symptoms that my GP ignored.

It is cruel and unfair, I think after so much bad news I was hoping that my luck had turned and then it just seemed to get worse, but you’ve given me some encouragement to find some hope at some point soon and made me feel less alone. None of my friends have experienced IVF, let alone heard of DEIVF.

Congratulations on your son ♥️ I will keep my fingers crossed that it’s nothing more than unfortunate for me, but will definitely question my meds

Thank you so much for replying, that gives me hope! Can I ask how long you both waited before going again, and whether it was a new cycle or a frozen embryo from the same donor?
