So i had my first insemination last night, I had a positive ovulation test that day so had a donation later that evening, first time doing one so I'm questioning everything I did....did I put it in far enough, did to much come out afterwards, were my legs up high enough, is my cramping feeling today normal or did I inseminate to early ahhh my heads in a spin, but my main question is.....
I had a positive test yesterday inseminated last night, am I best to do another insemination tonight or 2moro night? Or just hope to god I did it right this time....?
I'm not holding out much hope as I personally felt to much came out afterwards (sorry to much information) 🙈
Any help for a women driving herself nuts, much appreciated!!!!!

You're better to inseminate early so ideally a bit before a positive test and on the day it you can. I always aim for the day before ovulation if I can but I can't always have more than one insemination due to distance.

Thank you! I did try but unfortunately my donor wasn't available, I'm trying to get him to come round 2moro as had a faint positive again today and says ovulation 2moro so higher chance, it's literally the first month I've tried.
It didn't go quite as I planned as I was wanting 3-4 donation throughout the week but have only ended up having 1 so far....also don't know if I did it right due to it being the first time, I felt to much came out after (sorry tmi) but only time will tell, I've felt crampy today but I know that will just be down to ovulation, and actually having the donation yesterday my body won't be used to it 🤞🏻 fingers crossed it works but I'm not holding out much hope for this months try 😬

Very different, but I know when sperm banks home delivered, a friend was successful by using the op's that tell you the high and peak fertility. She used 6 vials 12 hours apart. So I'd certainly have another input in your scenario.

Fresh sperm can live for 5 days but frozen is much less. Maybe 12-24 hours, I can't remember. Chilled is about 48 hours I think. So timing is much more critical with chilled or frozen so tends to be inseminated once you have a peak as ovulation is then likely to be the next day and the hope is that the sperm and egg are in the same place at the same time.

With fresh, you can have them there waiting for the egg to be released. I'm travelling many hours to my donor so I always err early as I don't want to waste the trip by inseminating too late.

I'm trying to get him to pop round today, I have the faintest positive so I think I'm to late for this cycle, I might have to put my foot down and and be more bossy and make sure he is there when I need him! 🙈
Feel so disappointed as I was so ready and prepared this month but he let me down the first two donations hence only 1, I'd be absolutely amazed if it worked (But I know deep down in my head that it hasn't)
Even as fresh I know I needed a donation earlier in the week to even make it possible, I'm not saying 1 donation isn't enough but timing wise I Would have planned better if I knew he would likely be doing only 1 donation....
