Using two donors

Has anyone ever used two known donors at the same time?
My friend is using a mutual friend as a donor but as he works away a lot they miss out on the important dates occasionally. She has been trying for 8 months and wants to consider finding another donor for when her current donor is unavailable.
I’ve expressed my concerns that she won’t know which one is the father. Has anyone done this and can shed light on risks/chances of pregnancy etc?

Not sure about UK, but in Australia it is illegal to use 2 sets of sperm.
We had a cycle where they tried to retrieve sperm from my husband, but the fertilisation failed and we were told that whole cycle would be cancelled as laws only allow for one set of sperm at a time.

It was so disappointing and upsetting but these laws are in place for a reason

Is this a private arrangement, or via a regulated clinic?

I'm guessing the former, so I'd say don't do it. Because in these circumstances fathers can have PR and with two candidates it could get quite stressful

Your thread title made me expect a post about double (egg & sperm) donor.

If you got MNHQ to edit the title, you might attract any posters who have tried this. I cant imagine there are many TBH, and it does sound fraught with problems.
