My husband has a genetic illness which means we do not want to conceive naturally and risk passing it on.
We had one child with specialist ivf and a second round has just failed. We want to add to our family but do not have the finances to go down the ivf road again.
We talked about sperm donors and stupidly thought it would be simple, now following hours of googling I’m still none the wiser.
We really want to keep costs down by doing ICI (home insemination) as well as thing being less clinical after 2 rounds of ivf we are done with that.
YouTube is full of American women and it seems so much more complicated to do this in the uk, I’d love to hear experiences including costs of everything and the best places to start as it’s all so confusing!! TIA x
