Starting to think about donor sperm.. What is the cost of going down this route please?
What would the cost involved be for it all can someone advise?

If you mean donor sperm via the official route (from a sperm bank), then as far as I know it's roughly an average of about £1000 a sample (exact costs will vary between banks, some clinics have their own banks which may be a bit cheaper).

But sperm banks will only send it directs to clinics in the UK now (no home insemination) - so you will have to pay the clinics costs on top of the price of sperm (could be up to around another £1000 by the time you have paid consultation fees, mandatory bloods/scans and IUI costs - although you may be able to save some money if your GP is willing to do some of the blood tests for you).

I've also heard you can also have sperm sent to NFS clinic in Shrewsbury for self -insemination, but I'm not sure about costs for that (I suspect only a few hundred less than typical IUI costs, because you will still need to pay fees to the clinic plus the costs of the sperm).
