Egg Donor FET 2ww

Hi all!

Anyone here on their FET 2ww with egg donation?

I’m wondering if anyone wants to share your symptoms, feelings, experience? And success stories?

This is our second FET with egg donation. The transfer was on 23/12 so 7dp5dt with a top grade blastocyst and no uterine problems.

We were devastated that with a 60-70% success rate for egg donation, the first transfer didn’t work.

I’m on a stimulated cycle but this second time I’m not really having any symptoms (some twinges in my uterus from time to time) and the medication is not too bad, maybe I got used to it doing back to back cycles.

The first FET was full on and I had lots of symptoms and the meds were really pushing it. Lots of cramping. Implementation cramps. And all the side effects of the progesterone and oestrogen. It was such a rollercoaster emotionally.

How are you holding up? What’s your 2ww like?

How did you feel about the first FET? ❤️

I’m not there atm but I have a son from my DEFET so I know how it feels!

I gave in 3DPT and started testing 🙈 having not tested at all on my fresh round (ended in MMC)

Tehe tehe - we’re all so different with the testing, I wait until actual test date as cannot handle any pre-disappointment 🙈😖

Unfortunately it was a BFN for our second DEFET so no success yet with DE. It’s strange after all these hardcore experiences with infertility (that I wish upon no one) the ED is just as devastating when it doesn’t work out. In our case the doctors says it’s just bad luck - nothing could have been done differently. Fingers crossed for next attempt. 🙏🏻

I'm not surprised it's just as devastating. I know it depends how you've ended up on the donor egg pathway, but for me I've had a lot of treatment before this and you kind of think donor eggs are the key to success. Doctors have pushed the relative chance of it working with donor eggs so it's easy tp be more hopeful, or maybe just think after a lot of bad luck your luck will change.

Thank you! I know are right and that was really nicely put. I wished I had a crystal ball, like we all do in these processes to see if / when we can catch a break.
We ended up in ED path to parenthood/sibling after a naturally conceived child and then secondary infertility and IVF treatments with own eggs. That was a humbling experience to say the least.

Let’s hope for 2021 for all of us 💕
