What did you do differently between cycles

Hi everyone, I had my first failed FET in August. My clinic want me to come back in October to do another transfer doing exactly the same plan as the first. As I only have one embryo left I am extremely nervous that it won’t work.

So I want to ask- were you in the same situation and did you do anything differently between the rounds that you felt worked? Any tips? Thanks so much🙏🙏

@Parisinthesummer I asked for additional blood tests to check prolactin, thyroid. In my follow up I was told era testing is only when I have failed more than two or three times. Next time I am supposed to have higher estrogen and progesterone but now we noticed my estrogen is through the roof do need to take a month waiting. Did you have a review with the clinic?

@Leala20 thx for reply. I was told the same re ERA that they wouldn’t recommend it because it was just my 1st transfer. They want me to go again on the same protocol because they said everything was good the 1st time. I got the impression from them it was just bad luck that it didn’t work😑 I will get my throid checked before definitely.

@Parisinthesummer there is also immune stuff you could check such as NK cells in uterus (prednisolone) or clotting issues (would need aspirin +/- heparin). However this is rare and the NK stuff research is still being debated. Normally they would do these studies if the miscarriage is recurrent. The other option is that the embryo itself has genetic issues and did not implant. One could potentially PGT-A test but that is only based on 5 cells and can give you false reassurance or worse still rule otu a good embryo. If you only have one left, I would transfer instead of doing PGT-A. If you have suffered recurrent miscarriages or failure to implant should consider other factors.

This on top of the other stuff that @Leala20 said which would constitute level 1 investigations. I would also check vitamin D which is easy to do.
