This is not the appropriate way to use a donor and puts both you and your potential child at risk, as well as the donor!

There are so many issues.....

The high risk of sexual disease

The risks of inherited problems

Lack of legal clarity

Lack of counselling and understanding of the implications on both sides

The high potential for your child to have an unlimited number of siblings - how will this impact your child?

The emotional impact on your child - how are you going to explain to them that they were conceived this way? How will that impact their self worth, relationships, etc?

Why is the donor doing this? It won’t just be to help people - if this was the case they would use a reputable clinic

Etc etc etc

I am assuming with all of this that you wouldn’t meet them on Facebook and then go down the proper route, so apologises if I’ve got that wrong!

Why would you not use a registered clinic and donor?

Urgh i remember I liked a page and didn't realise that your friends and family see on Facebook that you likes the page. I was just researching at the time and exploring options ( i went with a clinic and London sperm bank)

However when I came to brooch the subject of me using a sperm donor with my mum for the first time she said yes I know I saw you likes that page ... and so did your nan and she said why not you have a good job and a house... and your aunt saw you likes that oage too and said why not you are getting older now and know what you want

So I wouldn't recommend using Facebook to find a donor and I would add ... don't like any of the pages

My friend used one. Originally it was with her husband and the donor provided a sample in a hotel room which they then turkey basted. She split from her husband but still wanted a baby so asked the donor to continue. He did on condition that they did it the natural way! She shagged him a few times and got pregnant quickly. I recall her telling me that during one shag he grunted 'uh, I wanna make you pregnant'.

He told her he already had 8 kids through donation so for him it was clearly some kind of fetish. She's tried to keep in touch with him.for the kid's sake but he's not interested.
