Anyone used pride angel?

Hello! I’m very new to this so apologise if I’m rambling! My partner and I are a heterosexual couple with morphology and motility issues, we have an amazing almost 3 year old conceived through ivf with icsi- first round success very lucky I know we had this done at a private clinic, but have now decided we would like a sibling for our little one. We can’t really afford to pay for another icsi round so we have been (mutually agreed) looking for a sperm donor.. only we don’t know where to start! All this talk of natural insemination is scary as we would be strictly AI only. I guess my question is has anyone got any experience with a similar situation? We are based on Cheshire.

I think you need to speak with a fertility Counsellor to consider the emotional and legal ramifications of your decision. Have a look on the BICA website for someone experienced and accredited in this field.

Thanks for replying.. we have spoken about it at length with our GP who specialises in infertility so to speak. Emotionally it would be no different for us than if it was dh sperm, legally we know where we stand too and have decided this is best for our family. It’s just the whole searching for a donor process is a total minefield and we were hoping someone had some experience with this! Thanks again

I found my donor on the co parents website @Zara1234uk he’s awesome. You will find some idiots who are basically only looking for sex although you probably face less of that since you have your dh. As a single woman I came across it a lot but did find a gem so it can be done.

I know this is an old thread, but I found my donor who's a really nice guy on pride angel. You get rid of most of the jerks by making it clear you are Ai only from the start. They soon go looking for someone else.

I found that too @ToCaden. I found my donor on co-parents and was crystal clear from the start that I was only looking for AI, that was non negotiable, and no you won’t be able to talk me into NI when we meet because I’m so desperate! It definitely got rid of most of the time wasters and guys just looking to get laid.
