Donor Egg Success

We are TTC with frozen donor egg in UK. Can anyone share their experiences. I understand first time success rates are good? Any real stories to back this up or does it take a couple of attempts.

I donated my eggs to someone very close to me. I didnt make many eggs as I'm close to the upper age limit and of the eggs they took, only a few were viable. But the person I donated to fell pregnant first time and is due soon! You do have to take into consideration why you needed them though, in that the person I donated to had poor quality eggs but was fit and healthy herself and had fallen pregnant in the past so we knew her body was capable of carrying a pregnancy, it was just her eggs that were the problem.
Good luck, I truely hope this works for you xx

Sorry I meant to add that they were frozen too, she had them tested for abnormalities so they were frozen for a couple of months I believe

28 weeks pregnant with first child at 41 with donor egg and donor sperm. It worked first time after three failed ivf with own egg and donor sperm and six iui resulting ina. Missed miscarriage. Happy to help.

I think it depends on egg quality! I have good fertility and get pregnant each time I have sex close to ovulation. I donated my eggs when I was 21 and they fell pregnant first try each time and have 3 children.

I used fresh eggs and my first round ended in a missed miscarriage, but the second cycle of FET resulted in my current pregnancy :) So we didn’t use frozen eggs, but the successful bubba had been frozen as an embryo!

@Eggcellent29 success rates are different for frozen eggs and frozen embryos though-they’re better with the latter.

I am looking into LWC and Create as these are the only ones I know better. I recently watched a Reprofit (Czech) online presentation and they mentioned in order to really ensure success and get 2 top quality embryos they would advise 8-12 eggs min ( fresh). In the uk I see 6 are min and mostly frozen so I am confused now as it’s very expensive if we need to double the treatment due to wrong initial choice. Would you be able to share your advice/experience?

I think recent statistics show better success with frozen. We had 3 x transfers (1 = bfn, 2=bfp but then a MNC, and 3 from second batch of eggs = bfp plus bfbump Smile 37.5w pregnant with the miracle right now x

Went through LWC

@Midlifebaby thank you for your answer. That sounds positive! Congratulations on your success!

I can’t comment on the UK but I have DE twin boys (14m) which I got pregnant via a Greek clinic. I did 4 transfer both frozen worked both fresh didn’t the 1st FET I did worked but had a miscarriage straight away but the 2nd FET resulted in the twins.

Not sure if this helps or not.

First cycle fresh- 2 embryos transferred and resulted in my son. Second cycle 2 frozen Embryos transferred and resulted in my daughter. Not sure that is statistically helpful 😀
