I’m considering above and would be keen to know other people’s experiences and success rates.

I was successful first time! Decided on a frozen transfer instead of fresh and I now have year old twinsSmile

After a successful first fresh cycle with 2 in the freezer we had a frozen cycle and conceived my daughter.

Hi ladies, could you let me know how many eggs you had to start with and were they fresh or frozen?

The reason I am asking is that in LWC they said 6 frozen is standard and most popular but in Czech they advice 8-12 fresh and more frozen to get 2 embryos so trying to get my head around it all.

@EarlGreyT are you expecting number 2?

Thank you! This makes sense! I am sorry just trying to get my head around it. I haven’t gone through ivf before due to low amh results for my age do lacking some experience! We are hoping like all to be successful (how many tries it takes) but also would love to keep frozen for a sibling so perhaps I should go for 10 frozen eggs and not 6. London Women Clinic only offers such but I heard others offer even up to 18.

That's fantastic news @EarlGreyT, I have followed your story for a long time.

Are you with LWC?

We had 11 fresh eggs, 10 were mature and fertilised. At end of day 5 I had one transferred and currently 35 weeks pregnant. Have another four frozen so got 5 from 10 mature eggs. We needed ivf as I'd had both tubes and an ovary removed due to medical issues, and I'm early 40s. No issues so far.

Thanks for sharing your story @EarlGreyT. Would you mind sharing what clinic you're with?

We had plans to do a tandem donor egg cycle in Cyprus before the virus put an end to it 😢

We have looked into LWC as a back up option.

@twinkledag
Embryolab in Thessaloniki. They’ve been great (and I’m not only saying that because they gave us successful treatment).

Am really sorry your (and everyone else’s) cycles have been cancelled due to Coronavirus. Infertility is bad enough at making you feel life is on hold at the best of times and I can’t imagine how difficult it must be now in current circumstances especially as it’s all completely out of your control.

Thank you @EarlGreyT.

Am very lucky to have my little boy who keeps us going through these hard times.

Good luck with your pregnancy and let us know when you're baby is here 🙂

We were with Fertility Port in Prague. we found the service really good, but think they are also closed now. I was hoping for a tandem cycle too but it was considered too risky because the surgery in the past had left my remaining ovary in a difficult location to access.

@Leala20 we went through LWC, we did the access fertility package and had 2 rounds of frozen eggs, 6 each cycle. First one we got 2xembryo - 1st failed, 2nd MMC (sob!) next batch we only got one embryo.

But right now I can feel and see it kicking around as we head into 37.5w pregnant!!!

All tests have gone back low risk, and I love our consultant S Lavery who assured us the risks around ivf & being older come with multiple embryos rather than the one by one approach.

Good luck x

Both my cycles I feel pregnant were frozen , both fresh didn’t work for me at all.

The first FET I did resulted in a pregnancy but I miscarriaged early on the next FET resulted in twin boys who are now 14m old.
