How many donations is acceptable

Would you accept a sperm donation from a man who had helped concieve so many children that it’s in the triple figures through an online group and why or why not?

Hell no.

Partly because I would want to be open with a donor-conceived child about their origins, and I feel that having 100+ half-siblings would be a difficult thing for them to process (and, on a practical level, it would take that worry of 'what if one day they meet someone and hook up and later find out they're related?' from a million-to-one thing into rather more plausible territory).

But mainly, tbh, I question the motivations of those donors. Yes, there's a level on which they're helping people, and they can certainly say that their motivation is helpfulness - but it feels to me like there's something else driving it, if someone pushes on into triple figures. Did you see that stuff last week, about how Jeffrey Epstein had a farm where he planned to 'improve' the human race by impregnating hundreds of women? Honestly, they feel to me a little like that.

Of course, I'm sure that those families who have used 'prolific' donors have delightful children and probably have a very different perspective, but to me it was always something that went firmly in the 'nope' drawer.

Nope never especially if it’s a local place. In the states there was a man who donated too much sperm at one clinic...about 30 years later those babies started having babies WITH THEIR HALF SIBLINGS unknowingly. They figured it out after al the babies were born with abnormalities. In the states it’s not illegal to donate more than I think 10 times
